My roommate and Ex-girlfriend recently broke up with

me, a week later she is sleeping with a new guy and a week after that they are dating and he is at my apartment ALL the time, he has been here the entire last month, as hard as it is I do not mind her seeing this new guy but I don’t want him in my house all the time. He is a Marine and apparently due to difficulties he has not been paid the last month and a half and due to a drug based investigation is currently not allowed to stay in the barracks. Due to all this she has him stay with her in her room all the time, what should I do to get him out of my apartment?

We are both renting a 2 bedroom apartment so its 50/50 she has a rite to have guests over but the guy practically lives here.

You could mention to your landlord that he has basically moved in, therefor he should be paying equal amounts of rent or leave.

Ask him to pay a share of rent - this will drive him out.

Your rental agreement should define “guest”. A guest cannot stay in the apartment more than an certain number of days without being added as a renter and made to pay rent.

Why on earth are you living with an Ex?! Do you have plans to move out? Since she broke up with you, you have that hurt to deal with. You’ll never be able to deal with it if you are in such close intimate proximity to her. Move and get a new place ASAP.. that will solve many of your issues.

She is moving north with him, I really like my apartment just don’t want this guy here all the time. I’ll follow up with the property management about there policy regarding “Guests”
