Guide to get what you want in life
Despite the catchy title, this isn’t a guide. It’s more of a question.
You know how people always say “follow your dreams” when you want to accomplish something? When you need to figure out your purpose and want to accomplish something great in your life, this is the standard response that you get.
It doesn’t work though (established by life experience of many many smart and successful people). What does? Serendipity?

Lol, thanks annlovestars. But I’m not talking about a business, money or anything the likes. I’m talking about the reason someone exists. Most people find their reason for existence comes from job, wife, career, etc. etc. etc. I say ********. If that defines who I am as a person and I lose everything, I’m nobody.
I’m talking about accomplishing something that will DEFINE who you are, basically. I don’t know if that’s the right way to express it and I doubt my choice of words is adequate, hehe. This doesn’t necessarily have to be business or anything.

Do you know what you want to do?

Hah. If I had a clue I wouldn’t be going through all this sh*t that I’m going through now. College applications in two weeks and I still have no clue. No goals no aims therefore no drive. And everything in my life is just so pointless and without any purpose. Heck, I can’t even be arsed to do my homework, not to speak of the horrible procrastination that results because of it.
I other words: I don’t know because everything I come up with just seems so pathetic - either way too high, something that I’ll never achieve or way too low, something that’s too easy.
So you can’t get what you want if you don’t know what that is.

Well… sort of. Hard to put it. Motivation is just a major factor. So far I’ve screwed up every single bit of my life because I’ve been procrastinating, delaying, unmotivated, etc. And it could have all ended up so much better if I had simply worked or had the drive to work. And then I’d have had the options to do what I’d really love to do… It’s a vicious cycle I guess.
But since that drive isn’t there I’m basically doomed for failure. The thing is, I need something that can get me motivated. Something to basically “Want” me to work hard and early and finish my assignments etc. etc.
Getting organized might help. Make a to do list. Keep a calendar of due dates.

Thanks for the attempt but I’m already doing that. Not much help.
So you actually want ‘knowing what you want in life and getting’ it guide?

Not really. That’s a bit much to expect from people. No. Just some advice that can get me to figure out the rest I suppose. I mean, it wouldn’t be me living my life would it?
It’s just that I don’t buy the whole “follow your dreams” cheesy hollywood sellout anymore. All I need is a bit of motivation and some way of figuring out what I want… Or at least some general advice. Perhaps even that is a bit much to expect from y’all. Hehe. Thanks for everything you’ve tried though ;)
I can’t even plot the course for my own life. I follow Jesus. So that is my purpose and where my strength comes from.

Then maybe I should go try that.
