i am a 30 year old indian who is well educated, actually a management graduate.
i was working in a MNC in another country for last 4 years. i had some manageable credit card debts and i was expecting a promotion in april 2009. so i took a personal loan from a bank to consolidate my liabilities. After that i got engaged to a girl who was working in India and having a good job. ofcourse the plan was that she will move to my country of residence. that was back in oct 2008. come recession and i lost my job and all the small savings i had i used them to stay in that country to look for another job but couldnt find one. that country has very strict financial laws. so i decided to come back to india but couldnt leave as i had this loan that needed to be cleared for emigration clearance. fearing worst i swiped all my old credit cards and settled the loan and flew back to india in april. i didnt have any money so i borrowed a little form my fiancee and some from my friend and started looking for a job india. i couldnt find the job and marriage came closer, its in october end. i borrowed more money from fiance to rent a place and furnish it so that we have a place to live after marriage. now i am getting calls from banks to settle the dues from that country and my fiancée isnt treating me well lately although she was supportive when all this started.
i am not getting the job, banks are troubling and threatening me, fiancee takes dig at me at each and every chance, my parents and friends expect me to get a job soon. added to this my parents and fiancee and friends dont know about the credit card problem.
i am fed up of this life and want to commit suicide before marriage. can u help.
