Poem.
Pieces fall apart, your hand locks in his,
Something in your chemistry doesn’t quite mix,
I can’t believe I have to watch this.
Perfect laughter swirls through teeth,
Grain upon grain upon grain underneath,
It’s scratching through my skin.
Swallow me whole, so my eyes can’t see
Oceans come cover me, lay me to sleep
Take it away and wash me clean
Leave me something sweet and reel me in.
Take her hand and spin her round,
Just leave me here on solid ground,
Don’t pick me up and throw me down.
Sunlight burns through my skin,
Begin, again, again, begin
Lock me out and bury me.
