Do something else when you feel the urge.

I just looked up what you have and it is an impulse control issue of pulling out your own hair. It said that it is caused by stress/depression and happens usually in the teen years. It sounds like you need to get some kind of help with a Doctor who is educated in this area.
I am certain that it will not get better on it’s own, and you are making your image difficult to present to the world without having other people start asking you some questions.
I would try to reduce the factors that make it worse, like stressful people or situations. Try using a meditation tape to relax at a little, drink some tea, and for the depression sunshine and exercise really work.
I hope that this might help, :)

trichotillomania is caused by anxiety and then the relief that the pulling brings. you feel good when you pull even if only for a second then you feel guilt and regret. then you feel like pulling again. you have to break these cycles. if you are strong enough, you can try to write down whenever you feel like pulling, in a journal. or anywhere. make a resolve to stop pulling TODAY. if it’s uncontrollable then go for a run or something that makes you so tired that at the end of it you can just think of sleep. BUT this is a hard thing to stop by yourself, not impossible but hard. Professional help is better,if you feel it’s out of control. Look on google there is more stuff about this.
