I have had severe jaw pain up closer to my ear on one side of my face.

i don’t think my dentist would help with that. what kind of doctor should I go to?

emm, well, it depends on the cause of the pain doesnt it. if its related to teeth or gums, dentist. if its muscular, or any other type, GP first who will probably refer you somewhere else.
