cool help: what’s the weirdest coincidence that’s ever happened to you? - Help.com

what’s the weirdest coincidence that’s ever happened to you?

ok, its not really asking for help but i love this kind of stuff. i’m looking for, like, predicting something random, or having the same dream as someone in the same night, or something cool like that.

i don’t believe in psychic powers but its always cool when something freaky happens like that :]

I ran into this guy and got into a political dispute with him. He was hanging out with his neice and she and i met through that political dispute between me and her uncle. We started dating shortly after, broke up, but remain best friends to this day. I don’t know if that’s really a coincidence, but hey.

I once had deja vu with increasing frequency for two hours until it was seeming non-stop. That was the start of years of freaky coincidences, which I now believe were a mental thing.

oh i forgot to post mine

i had the song Fortune Faded stuck in my head, so i was just going through the whole song in my head. my little sister (who has never even heard the song) walked in the room, and kind of sighed-hummed five random notes. they were the EXACT notes that the song had reached in my head right at that moment :O

it was freaky haha

This is because you both heard the song, or she heard you humming it.

Here’s a recent one that’s weird. I was on the way to pick up my daughter from school and someone on sports radio was ranting about how his big brother made him pop zits on his back when he was a kid. When I picked up my daughter, she said something on the way home about popping zits, and she NEVER uses those words, she’s in middle school.

well even if she’s heard the song, she wasn’t trying to sing it just then, just making random notes that happened to be in that song =P but whatever

Here’s another one. Last spring I was walking along the waterfront in my city. I’ve lived here for 24 years and have seen dolphins dozens of times, but I have never seen one jump out of the water. They “breach”, meaning they surface and exhale, but they don’t leap like you might see in a show at SeaWorld. Anyway, I was walking alongside the water and I noticed a pod of dolphins way out in the harbor. It was an incredibly gorgeous day, blue sky, temp in the 70s. And I looked out at the dolphins and said “Jump.” And it must have been 5 seconds later, a baby dolphin leaped through the air.

It was such an incredible experience, I took the morning to do fun things.. climbing trees and writing.

I was camping once and there was a lightening storm. There wasn’t much I could do, but watch it rain. I was thinking to myself and thought about how I had never seen lightening strike the ground and like right after I thought that lightening struck right in front of me. I thought to myself that I should never think about dangerous thing ever again…lol. It scared me, but was still cool.

When I went to Tech School for the military. I was in a briefing and I had extreme waves of dajavu for like 4 or 5 weeks during this time I knew what people were going to say before they said it. It would make me so mad I would almost want to tell people to shut up. I figured maybe I had been to the briefing before so I asked my roommate if we had and she told me no. Actually this type of stuff happened in basic training too. It’s the main reason I did not stay in the military because I felt I was going crazy. Also at tech school when I was getting ready to be discharged I was filing papers for the recruits that had been at the squadron I was in and when I was filing the papers I saw this girls name that totally tried to still my husband when we had started dating. I thought that it was a big coincedence that I ended up at the same squadron she had been in. Also I remember thinking about things that would happen before they happened.

One time we had chinese food with our cousins because it was my cousins b-day. after we ate, we brought out the fortune cookies. my cousin opened his… “Celebrate! Someone cares much for you, and will present you with a cake.” My aunt and uncle were around the corner ready to sing happy birthday… holding the birthday cake.
