well….using ubuntu is the best way to start i’ll congradulate u on that one
or maby i sould say Kon gradulate (geeky snortlaugh)
anyhow
the are lists u need to become familier with full of open source tar and what ever els files u r guna want
get used to using yahoo search to get answers,,thats how you’ll survive the experiance
ubuntu fourms is a good place to search
try to just read ans search with out posting in there
post if u must, but the problems most likly already been answered.the wine emulator will run msos programs for you no problem

next step
make sure the av your trying to post is the correct file type, jpg, png, or gif
a common mistake is to try and use files not suported
an easy way to alter the file type you have is open it
go into to file
save as
and change the file type
and if need be put it in an easyer to find locality
