Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
I dont know if an image would be removed after doing that or not =S
Im only posting anonymously because well it already links my face to my account and with the things i posted thats very bad if anyone found me >_
Even if the robots text tells all robots not to index or to follow, the robots still try to link to all files regardless.
The only way to remove the offending material is to get a mod to remove your account, then for you to make a new account that doesn’t show yourself in the avater.
In time, months, your former pics will fade into history.

no its not from the avatar its just from a image i posted of me on one of the posts and google lists the adress as my photobucket account for the image location but links directly to the page i posted it on(which the page istelf isnt bad but it wasnt an anonymous post and people could read my other posts easily) and the thumbnail is still there but the original image i have deleted. So it will eventually just update itself then go away? im not sure how often google scans a page =/
One more thing, you can try to remove the offending unwanted publicity by getting in touch with each robot, like google, msn, ask, yahoo etc.
You will find that most or all of them will have a link to the same material you talk about.
That it is impossable to remove it from all of them is certain. There are thousands of robots, worms etc from all over the world. Most you will never see ,know or hear about.
Most will not reply to you or do as you bid them to. There is no easy way to remove your pic from the internet.
You will find that other robots have linked to the photo and have a copy of it. Like you say, googles one will eventuals go into the distant archives.
If that is the only one you are worried about. Then in a few months the post you talk about should have dissapeared into the background.
If you go to the post in question, using google. Then find cached at the bottom, left click on it, then look at the cached page. You will see that it is the last copy that google took of that post.
The next copy should show the next updated copy. so if you take the pic of the post yourself, it should not show up on the next visit from goole.
Meant google not goole.
ugh this is ridiculous, google and all the others shouldnt even have the ability to grab images from private photobucket accounts =/
like i sait the image isnt bad its just that it leads here :S
i thought you had to be the website owner to contact them =/

it says
“It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on Sep 27, 2009 02:19:17 GMT. The current page could have changed in the meantime. Learn more
“
take it myself? i dont know how to do that
Lets see if I can explain this a little better.
In this case it’s an issue concerning robots behavior, photobucket and help.
The robot, whichever one that visits, goes to say help, finds your picture/s, it then follows any links it finds.
Then it finds the picture you talk about at photobucket. Now while it is at photo bucket it looks at all of your phots, that are there and takes photo coppies of them, all of them. It now follows any and all links that you have made from or at photobucket.
Which will in time lead it back to help. Once it gets back to help, it returns to where ever it came from and deposits its cached pages, photos, posts etc.
Remember though. it follows every link to every site from every site you visit.
The robots ethics, it has none. It is programmed to keep collecting material until it breaks down or is replaced.
The owners of the robots will tell you, “it is your responsabillity to make sure you dont put anything on the internet, that you wish to keep private”.
Private isn’t a word recognized on the internet.
So now just say that help puts a robots text on the site. Telling the robot not to index or to follow anything on the website. It respects that text, but first it will find all of the links from help and make a list of them.
It now goes to each of those linked websites and finds the links back to help. So it would go to photobucket, in your case and get the picture it sent to help.
It has now respected the robots exclusion file at help but still obtained the photo by going to photobucket for the photo.
If all websites decided to use the exclusion file to stop the robots from visiting their websites, the robots would still just disreguard the exclusion file. It is not law that they, any of them, take any notice of it.
The links from and to all of the big sites, are a big part of their revenue, help and photobucket will never stop the robots from assessing their websites, it would cost them their profits
So the end line is, you cant stop or change anything, there is no way known to stop this from happening.
Like I said, the onus is on you, to make sure you dont put anything on a website or the internet. That you wish to keep private.
That sounds like that should be illegal :(
**** now i have to go slit my wrist for someone finding me if they do :(
i just want to know if the page gets cached again would it go away… i deleted the images but i dont know if it will vanish if it visits the pages again :(
I hope you are not serious about slitting your wrists. That sort of talk is not condusive to me, to continue talking to you. It means that I will not be able to tell you truthfully what happens in these cases, what I say or write here. Might make you try to do something to end your own life.
What I have already said above is what happens, it is now on the internet. In googles vaults, if it is there, it will get picked up by other browsers, hundreds of them from all over the world.
The only way, I can see to get rid of it, is to get a mod to de-activate your presant account and for you to start again with new user name and new account.
All I am doing is repeating myself time after time on your post. I am therefore unsubscribing from it as of now.
