How Long?

I’m in high school and i dated a guy for 1 month. we broke up a few days ago. His friend told me two weeks ago(while i was still dating the other guy) he wanted to go out with me. I like him too. I know hes going to ask me out and i want to know how long i should wait before we go out, or if we should even go out. please help me!
