Doctor help: Lately I have had SEVERE PMS. - Help.com

This post left anonymously

Lately I have had SEVERE PMS.

I’m already on the pill (which is supposed to help it) and I have been taking calcium supplements on occasion since I hear that has been shown to improve symptoms. Anyone else have any great ideas? Anyone else have the same problem and have a good coping strategy!? It seems I almost ruin my life every month in a matter of 2 days so it is really starting to affect me.

Take a look at your diet. What you are consuming will affect it greatly, also be sure to exercise and get plenty of sun…

generally an endoscope is used to determine whether endometriosis is present. its a serious condition that can lead to infertility, so i would definitely go to a doctor, tell them your symptoms, and ask to be checked out.

I had similar symptoms when I was younger, and they subsided with time and labor..LOL…There is a book you can purchase by Phyllis Balch called “Prescriptions for Nutritional Healing” it is an excellent book. Honey, I never did well using pharmaceuticals I have always done better using natural alternatives, vitamins, herbs, diet, exercise…Stay away from excessive sugar, stay away from nitrates/nitrites, the most natural your diet the better, consider eliminating gluten and excessive sodium, limit caffeine. Also, look into the paleolithic diet, I am now Peri-menopausal and I follow the paleo diet. I have worked on myself for years. I’m now a personal trainer and I have never felt physically better…I have listed some links below for you. Check them out and see if they might help…Take care…L
