I want to find my half brother.

I don’t know where to start anybody have any ideas? Alls I know is his first name and the last time my dad left him.

Kinda I can ball park his age. I don’t think I can find the exact birthday. I really don’t want to ask my dad so yea. As for location there is a good chance that he’s still in New York or in the east coast area

repost; i already gave you ideas about checking highschool records. hire an investigator. ask your dad’s family if he won’t talk, even his friends maybe. is it that you just don’t want to ask him or he doesn’t want to tell you? if it’s you get over it, maybe he’ll talk.

If you actually want to know the whole story. My dad had a family before he met my mother; hence the half brother. Well he didn’t really exactly leave the situation with a good ending (He left them without saying anything). As for the reason why he won’t tell me is because he doesn’t know that I know that he had another family before he met my mom. See why I can’t ask him now… and if you don’t then I have no way of explaining other than it just won’t seem right. By the way I’m 18 so hiring an investigator is a lil’ pricey as for high school records I don’t know his last name; there’s a chance he used his mom’s name, and there are at least five different ways to spell it.

i see, and i guess you don’t want to bring it up since it’s rather a bad topic. i’m not really sure how you would find someone you don’t really know much about. personally i would bring it up because having other ‘family’ out there i’m not being told about doesn’t sit well with me, but again that’s just me; and what happened between him and his last wife has nothing to do w/ you, it was his bad. anyway, what about checking public records? his ex might pop up therefore giving you a last name to work with, maybe an address.

I tried looking up my dad’s public records but for some reason his life just vanished when it came to that part.
