I want to find a way to not work a regular 9-5 but
still have a stable income based on the experience and education that I have but I just dont know where to begin. I have a bachelors in political science, a certificate in conflict resolution, and soon will have a Masters in International relations. I like being around people, I love to cook, travel, but I need to have my family with me. I am recently married and expecting our first child at the end of the month. I have ideas, teach online (is it likely with only a masters?) do something that involves food (party planning, menu guidance, recipe development - all are interesting). I have years experience working in restaurant and customer service and currently I work in an office environment where I manage bill paying, travel booking, meeting set-up, database entry, multi-line phones, office paging, Editing and some (but very little) writing. My writing skills however are quite good (personal opinion, of course, but have gotten lots of one-one feedback saying as much.) I’ve dealt with mountains of paperwork processes, obtaining a green card for my Italian husband, and dealt with moutains of paperwork just coordinating leave from my current job, so I like to think that I can be very organized as well. How can I get away from the office doldrums? I enjoy work, but I want time to be with my family and travel - and in this day, age and technological capability I dont see why i cant do it all.
