What if I’m un-helpable?
Seriously. My friends have tried. I’m blocked into a corner so I always tell them ‘no’ or ‘it’s not gonna work’ and now they seem to think I want things to be like this. I’m starting to think they might be right. Gah. Help :(

Where were you?

There is always a way. I recommend you go dancing. Just lose the negativity and things will start to go better, with or without help.
Find your best friend and hug them. Change in attitude works wonders.
What’s the matter?
Maybe you do want things to stay the way they are (kind of.) When things are a certain way for a long time, you become accustomed to it and it’s hard to think outside of your situation. Change can be hard. So, you want things to change, but at the same time don’t see how it’s possible. If that’s the case, you’re your worst enemy. Depends on what the problem is really though.
My family kinda treat me like rubbish. And my boyfriend’s a jerk.
I must agree, change is scary but it couldn’t possibly be worse than the way things are.
I guess.. I don’t really care what happens to me so long as I have my friends and they’re okay. But I think they want things to change more than I do..
Hehe yeah, maybe they want it so bad because they can see that it’s hurting you and they care about you. They don’t like to see you down. Are they very supportive friends? That’s a good thing :)
What sort of advice do they give you?
If you are not open to any suggestions and want to remain like that sometimes there’s nothing that anybody can do or say to make you change your mind. That’s all.
Well, they can be supportive but, they haven’t exactly.. Stepped outside the box much so they don’t really know about.. well.. life
They want me to find some way to break up with my boyfriend and either deal with my parents or live somewhere else
How old are you? You won’t live with them forever…otherwise there’s not much you can do about family unfortunately. Unless your friends are prepared to have you over at theirs’ quite a bit.
How do you feel about your boyfriend? Why do you want to stay with him even tough he’s a jerk?

Sounds like good advice to me.

And one of them did offer but I would never oblige like that
It’s sort of difficult to explain.. I mean, we’ve been friends forever so even when he’s acting his worst I still just see him as that awesome guy but, even if I did break up with him, it wouldn’t matter, I’d see him all the time and he’d keep trying to act together and I’d eventually just give in.
Even though he’s kinda scary when he’s mad and he can be really mean, he’s the only person who makes me feel like I’m not alone. I feel cold and empty the rest of the time.. :/
u need to ditch him. Wait for someone who will treat you with kindness and respect.
I hope it’s not too bad at home.
I see what you mean, but are you really happy with the way things are with him? What you’re basically saying is that you’re scared of being alone, that’s why you stick with him, but if you don’t end it, you don’t give yourself a chance to find a more stable, happy relationship with somebody else.
Also, what you said about him being scary when he’s mad - that could one day turn serious. I’m not saying that he can’t be a great person (the person you’ve seen before), but this isn’t a healthy relationship. Not at all.
Sometimes, it’s best take a chance and move on.
It’s not that bad, my dad’s away a lot now and I can avoid my mom most of the time
I know how serious it could be, but it’s not like he’d kill me or anything, he loves me really, he’s the only person who’s always there. No matter what..
More so than your friends?
Well, I can’t really give much sound advice since I don’t really know about what it’s like, but as LittleNick said, you make your own decisions. Maybe it will work out after all. I can’t say. Either way, you’re still young and you’ll move away from your parents some time. Things will change for you plenty either way.
I do hope that you can figure things out in time.
Thanks
I guess this is one of those things that will change itself
