may sound like a dumb question, but I have seen alot of people leave their subject out and completely go off topic.
well, this site is pretty simple, just try your best to give helpful, useful information in any of the many questions.
try to stay away from weird questions like: ” I ate my leg but im still hungry” as those are usually troll posts.
this is user to user Q&A, so if any answers you get sound sketchy, research before doing what it says.
now, next to my (sadly uneditable) avatar(wich you can also click to access my page, same with any poster) in the upper left hand corner of this post, you should see several little icons and my user name.
after username is a dot, the dot shows the poster’s online status. green means online, red means offline.
then there is a little person, that little person shows whether the user is verified via email or not. you should get an email asking to verify, and you really should if you havent yet.
then there is a megaphone, clicking it will take you to a page that will allow you to send the user a “shout” which is a PUBLIC but more noticeable comment directed at a certain user.
the number next to the megaphone is the number of shouts the person has received, after a certain amount of shouts, the number will go down a bit.
the little guy next to that (with a little plus sign) will let you add the user as a friend if you click it.
you must wait for the user to accept the request, untill they do you are simply a “fan” of that person
you can only do this if you are verified (if i recall)
aaaalll the way to the right are three more options
the first one is a little star, click that when you think the post was extremely helpful or funny, or just needing some notice, it will mark it as a “quotable” reply, which will show up on the users main page if he/she hasnt allready gotten a number of posts marked up more than that one.
then there is a quote sign in a little bubble, clicking that will copy the text into a quote format into the bottom “post” box, allowing you to type under neath and create a reply to a specific comment.
then the last option is a little red flag.
if you find a reply to be offensive, rude, mean or containing anything you wouldnt want your mother or children to hear, click the flag.
upon being clicked it will carry you to a page allowing you to fill out a report on the comment, which will be read by what seems to be the only mod we have left, sammxD.
if he finds it to be bad as well he will remove it and possibly more depending on what it contained.
reports are anonymous to everyone but samm and he does not give out names so its quiet.
DO NOT reply in anger or even at all to any comment or post you find offensive, just report it and move on. same with trolls.
