Hello, everyone.

My name is John from Houston, TX and I am a 10th grade honor student who is currently attending a magnet school. I try to do very well in school, but sometimes my home life is very depressing. My mom is having trouble getting a job, and everyday she reminds me of it. She is alone and has no one to talk to, so I am her only source of comfort. However, she tends to talk to me so much that it is depressing. When I go to school everyday, talking to my friends is the only way I can get rid of this horrible reality. My mom and I are really scared because we are extremely behind in our rent. Our landlord has been very patient with us, but she will not tolerate it anymore. We are behind $2,000 dollars and we really need the money. If we don’t pay it soon, we will become homeless and live on the street. Please help us, thank you so much!
