Narrowly avoided a proposal!
I was at my girlfriends’ house the other day.. her family were in the sitting room so we were watching the simpsons in the kitchen. the adds came on so I decided I wanted some tea and biscuits.. I went to stand up but decided against half way up (you know the feeling when you can’t just sit back down cos it’d look stupid?? THAT HAPPENED!) so i smoothly got onto my knees…
I never put 2 and 2 together so had no idea what was going through her head.. I took her hands and said
ME : “Mel, you know I love you so so much”
Mel: “Dean no! No! Really?!” *she begins to hold her mouth and smile frantically*
ME: “I really do” *this is when i start assessing the situation… 1. I’m on my knees. 2. I was holding her hands telling how much I love her. and 3. she looked so excited and was smilling like a mad yolk!
It hit me!! But I couldn’t just stop and stand up and laugh and say I was messing! SO WHAT DO I DO!??! I did what any guy would do…
I stared into her eyes.. the whole world just faded away to the sweet sound of nothingness (and her sisters screaming in the next room), i smiled and said “wanna go up to your room and kenudle!?!”
