Can someone please help me with this question?

The message “Windows has detected an error in the system registry . . .” appears on your computer screen. What kind of utility program would produce this type of message?

Somebody trying to sell you antivirus software that you don’t need. Just keep on clicking it off. It goes away eventually. If you already have antivirus software, just do a scan yourself and it will go away.
