Run Little Child

Run little child, run.
Run away from the terrors of night.
Run away from your fears
And maybe your nightmares won’t come true.

Shh little child, shh.
Be quiet now, do not cry; do not be afraid.
It was only a dream.
Come into the light; they can’t hurt you now.
If you do not sleep, you will not see the dangers of your dreams.

Pray little child, pray.
Pray that the terrors stay in your dreams of night.
And your joy stays in the light.
Pray that you won’t be tired and will not sleep.
Pray that you won’t collapse, but will run.
Run away from your fears and
Pray for the light of the sun to shine down upon your face.

Laugh little child, laugh.
Your nightmares are afraid.
Sleep little child, sleep.
Run to joyous hopes and dreams, as your fears fade away.
