Why not. Just because you might not believe in God doesn’t mean he Stopped loving you or listening for you to call to him.

religion is up to individual so I guess that person is the only one it needs to make sense too.

I think you are missing my point. It’s not about whether or not god exists. It’s the perception of the person praying. Why would an existentialist pray?

No I understand your point. I never mentioned God at all. I guess my view on it is for example there are all different kinds of Christians. Who choose to live in different manners. There are atheists who still believe their energy can do good and harm. So maybe it depends on the existentialist. does that make sense?

It might be also that in the existence of the person, hi/she feels the urge to talk to God. There is nothing wrong with that. So I would say yes ir would make sence then.
