You need to think about what happens if you stop taking the medication. Will you eat the same as you did before you started taking the medication? If so you may gain the weight back again. You may be setting yourself up for a weight loss then weight gain cycle. I do not actally know anything about this medication so this may not be the case but I think it is imporant to think about what happens when you stop taking it.

Don’t take the medication. You probably got to this point by eating too much or the wrong foods and being lazy. So maybe time to get out of it by eating the right foods and excersising. There is not magic solution to getting thin.

Sorry if I’m wrong and you have an actual reason to being overweight.

Well 17’s a great time to try a change in diet because your body may respond really quickly to it. Such as going Vegan for a week etc.
But more importantly sports… Are you doing any? I would love to suggest belly-dancing and or swimming -
Belly dancing is great for females - caus it tones you in the areas where society umm appreciates the most…
And swimming is great for everyone caus its generally low impact, healthy and looooads of fun for everyone :)

Hope this helps :)

By the way - eating like a vegan may be a challenge -it is wise to ensure that all your nutritional needs are met… :)

a normal, healthy BMI weight is up to 24.9.
you are not overweight, and no doctor will prescribe reductil for you.
