Sounds like you should go to your local dept of human services, they may help you with your needs or will atleast give you some guidance and advise to better your situation. Do you get disability? you can also try www.modestneeds.org

I know it’s probrably not much help, but I can only advise you to call you local ‘Deparment of Human Resources” or ” Local Coummnity Action Agency” or ask them who you should call. You probrably won’t get much advice on here about things like that. And most likely no finacial help at all. Hope I’m wrong.

You are 61 years of age man. 61!!! My grandmother just flew 15 hours to come visit me in Hong Kong. She’s 95!!! She flew coach. Booked her own ticket, drove herself to the airport and got on the flight from Orlando.

My mother is 70 and swims laps daily.

Look, I realize you are disabled. My grandmother can walk only 1 mile an hour basically and is starting to lose her memory. But she pushes it. I come from a long line of people who don’t take pity on themselves. Look, there are positions available for seniors in many instances. Even wheelchair bound, working at anything. Often through a local senior center of community outreach office / social services. And what you need my friend I am sorry to say: A Job. I know it is horrible, that you wish to God that it wasn’t and you deserve to retire and live a life of peace. But you can’t. It didn’t work out that way and you didn’t save enough, or the market was cruel, or the company went bust or you never got an education, or whatever… But look on the bright side. You are only 61 (and no, you are NOT and old man). You’ve got at least 20-25 years left if you take care of yourself.
