Ok. So I want to get an MP3 Player or an IPOD. But I don’t know…..
1. Which is best?
2. How do I get music onto them???
3. Any suggestions?
Thanks :)
^^^^^ Ouch :(
Nobody will help me out **sob**
Really, I know it sounds odd that I don’t have that stuff…but I still own a RECORD PLAYER! lol :)
thats what he said…
And a few music lists would be good, too…..
Get an MP3 player. Most just attach to a USB port and you can drag/drop music onto em.
Ipods often you need to go through hell to get software and to get music onto em, then after that often need certain type of battery “which sure can be recharged but still” with a mp3 player you can often just toss in a new battery in your pocket or whatever.
Not to mention mp3 players are often much more affordable.
Uh, I’m not that good with technology (Just woke up from a hundred year sleep a few weeks ago), but it seems that in order to get music into one, you need to plug it into the computer with a cord, then copy the music files onto it as if it were a disc or USB. Or maybe not. Maybe you need to put it into some special folder, but that should come with the instructions manual.
Get one which is cheap but not too much?
Or actually, don’t get one at all cus we’re all gonna die anyway and don’t keep our materialistic fortune?

Oh, absolutely!!! We will all certainly die!!! But since I’m not dead yet, I would like to enjoy the time I have left :)
Thank you, SirTannen, for the advice. :)
whatever you decide to purchase put it in your pants and that ought to cure the not being in touch thing. the ipod certainly looks way more versatile than a simple music player but what do i know im currently pimpimg a payphone

TY, Vivzofwale :)
get a windows mobile cellphone
a good one is the european touch pro 2
stay away from the american ones
thier trashed by the american companies
not even worth having
but the capabilities of this cellphone will let u do anything a
camcorder
mp3 player
laptop
cellphone
video conferancing center
and any other number of things u can put out of your back pocket
of genious
or desire
for an iPod you need to have iTunes installed, and thats the only programme you can use to update your ‘pod.
MP3 players generally you can just plug into anything usb and drag and drop music files.
means all that illegally downloaded music is yours for free :)
iPods are probably a bit more user friendly in terms of the actual device, and the newer gen. ones you can put movies etc.
iPods also charge by pluggin em in by USB, a lot of MP3s run on batteries.
perrrrrrrrrsonally, i have an iPod, and much prefer it :)
ipod
or get an iphone…that’s what I want to do one day when I have $
you need to buy songs on i-tunes and you transfer it from the computer. you can get songs for free too if you want contact me on facebook
To be technically correct: an iPod is an MP3 player
In any case though, any mp3 player will do, and usually it’s just a matter of hooking it up to the usb, and then dragging and dropping songs… pay a teenager $5 to show you.
Also, get a good pair of headphones or earphones, the ones that come with cheap mp3 players usually suck…
I also have gone the iPod route. It may seem intimidating at first, but I promise you can get the hang of it. I got two for my mother and father (who are elderly) and taught them how to use it. Despite how technologically handicapped you think you are, if my parents can do it (“Joe, what’s this internet thing?”) I’m sure you can too. The simple fact you are using a site like Help.com already puts you miles ahead of them. I could also help you out with any questions you have.
iPod, the classic one i guess, but it’ll be hard if you don’t have itunes program. Mp3 player is simplier, just copy and paste your music to the device.
All this new fangled technology stuff, stick with the old gramaphone thingy.
LOL. I might just do that, Thepp. Thanks :) And how are you, by the way??
One of these days I will get “updated,” and I thank you all for your advice :)
I am fine thankyou, hoping you are as well. Another thing is to listen to stuff on youtube.
The music on those technology things is without all those nasty horrible hissy sounds from the scratches on the records lol. just doesn’t sound the same at all.
Yeah, I just can’t figure out the youtube thing completely. I can listen to one song at a time; then I need to stop what I’m doing and go and find another song to listen to. It’s really more of a waste of time for me.
I do have a CD player, so I don’t always listen to records or tapes, but….I would just like to be “up to date.” LOL
I friended you, Thep. I hope to see you around more often :)
Naughty girl, I saw that “you wished your bed shook” comment. Will not be here very often. I have taken all my friends of my friends list. That so that they will not get annoyed at me for not answering invites.
If I decide to come back more often, I will put the ones left, back on my friends list.
If you must have an mp3 player, then I suppose it’s ok.
LOL…yeah, sometimes a person (me) makes comments on help.com and other places that end up causing a bit of regret…LOL.
Well, that works, Thep. I’ve seen you here a couple of times; but if you decide to have a friends list, I would like to be on it. I don’t think that we were help.com friends before the nings….but I would definitely consider you a friend and I have wondered pretty often where you were and how you were doing.
I don’t answer invites very often, myself…it just seems like there are too many “mass invites,” and I will sometimes go to the post to check it out; but will not always reply.
Have a good day. I’m going to get off the internet in 10 min’s to go and make my kids some lunch…
Well when you get back, my latest post on here will take you to this http://www.theperfectpicture.org.uk/i… If you use windows, double click on the video screen when the video is playing, it will go to full screen mode. I think the children might like it as well.
Yes, if I make a friends list again, I will be sure to put you on it. I mostly do my gardening and look after my own and other websites.
If this link doesn’t work, they have disabled it from working on posts http://www.theperfectpicture.org.uk/i…
Get you one of those fancy Zune thingies. My current ipod is giving me hell when i try to add music to it. As far as I know, a zune doesn’t crash… And by the way LP’s rock!
Just look at what I found for you. It comes with all instructions and technical jargon. No batteries or electric needed and because of the way it works, could even help to keep you fit.
i prefer iPods. they can be expensive depending on the kind you get, but i think they’re worth it. iphones and itouches are the best, but they might be too much. in which case i would get an ipod nano. i like the ipod nano generation 4 the best, but generation 3 isnt bad either.
look, i,ll dig my ghetto blaster out for you, couple of new valves, off you go
