Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
-(x^2 - 8x - 20) = 0 //Factored out -1
x^2 - 8x - 20 = 0 //Divided by -1
(x + 10)(x - 2) = 0 //Factored
You should be able to figure it out from there.
my internet is not working right :(
so this is the only sight that come in
I could help, I know the answer, but I will say to you as I have said to my children when they ask for help - it will do you no good for someone to just provide the answer. You need to have a good stab at working it out, if you can’t, go back to your teacher and learn how to work it out. You will never forget how to work out something similar in future.
You will not Learn How to work this out if someone here posts the answer.

Sometimes it’s good for people to work things out on their own - maybe that’s why it’s called homework…

Sometimes, especially with math, walking someone through a single problem is the best way to get them to understand.
You haven’t walked them through it - you didn’t have a conversation about the workings out that you provided so far. That is why I said it would be better for them to go back to their teacher so they could properly discuss how to work something out, and then learn from that.
I was merely stating that giving an answer isn’t the whole answer - you need to know how to get there.
I understand what you say about maths, and it is true that walking someone through is good, but it’s good to learn the staring point and why.

I didn’t even give an answer. I went through 3 steps and gave reasoning for each step.
