my bf wants to get married.

he makes enough that i don’t have to work, and he’s told me he would be happy with this in exchange for a warm dinner when he comes home. he wants a housewife, yet that wasn’t really one of my goals by any means. he’ll be there to support me reguardless of what i want, but working if/when i don’t have to….is that stupid? should i just not work and enjoy it?

Cooking once a night in exchange for money sounds like a sweet deal.

I don’t think any woman should surrender who she wants to be for the sake of a man.

i didn’t say i was going to do it, and i’m not getting $ in exchange, just a home to live in etc. it’s not his requirement or anything, just likes the idea. i don’t want to stop working either but a vacation or chance to do just a part time and further my career is awesome.

i’ll continue working and we agreed to split up the homely chores so it’ll be ok. whatever $ i make i’ll help my family out w/ and/or continue w/ college. depends what kind of job i have at that time and place; as of right now i have a call center job-they’re open 24/7 and i get in when he’s getting out. technically i can leave dinner ready for him when he gets home; not going to kill myself over it though-he’s just as capable.

If that is what you want, then go for it.
