Why is college so ******* complicated and stressful?

Its like I have to study 24/7 just to pass my classes. The only thing that keeps me a little happy is when I play video games. But now with college, I have to constantly study. If I’m not studying, I’m taking a test. If I’m not taking a test, I’m doing a research paper. I also have to juggle with financial aid and make sure I take the required classes to get a degree. Its like this….eat, sleep, ****, study and repeat. Maybe its because I’m not smart enough like the girls at my university because there are defiantly a lot more girls at my college than the guys. I ******* hate my life and to top it all off, I live in the ghetto, which makes life a whole lot nicer…not. Its just sad when my little brother looks up to me and I have to tell him that college is not about that fake party ********, but its about studying your *** off just so you can get a ****** job in the future. I feel like dying. :(

Well you could always drop out and go to work. Then you could stress 24/7 over the fact that you’re in a dead-end job, have no degree, can’t pay your bills and have a bleak future.

Buck up. You have 4 years, 4 years!! when all that is expected of you is to read great books, think about things, analyze, critique, to consider great thoughts, to put ideas down on paper and make new connections between things you are learning.

That is an honor and a gift. Were you expecting animal house? I’m sure you can find that too if you look. But remember, the guys in Delta house had a D- average.

well its either this or spiral into a life of drugs and violence. I just feel like my college is purposely throwing this stuff at me so I won’t graduate.

college IS hard. thats kind of the point. if it was easy to learn, and get the degrees you get from college and university, then everyone would do it, they wouldnt mean anything, and they would be free.
juggling classes is fairly simple: find out what is required for the degree, take class. simple. that is what student advisors are for, use them.
at least you GET financial aid. plenty of people dont, and plenty more people would be glad to have your spot.
obviously your college isnt making it extra hard so you dont graduate, that would reflect badly on them, thats stupid.
be grateful for what you have, a lot of people dont have half of it.

Could be, if that’s the case though are you really gonna back and down and let them win? Or will you throw their doubts right back in their faces and prove you’re stronger than what they’re throwing at you?

okay, sounds reasonable, but lets say i do study my *** off; only to still fail my classes in the end. I’m not the smartest person…well i barely made it out of high school.
