they’re risky (splitting tounges, chipping teeth, infections, irreversability) but to each their own.
I think they are hot on guys. But I like lots of different piercings on guys. I have always wanted a tongue ring. And this girls look bad *** with them! but havent ever done it
well i have just gotten mine done about two weeks ago and peoples opions have changed about me
well screw them. They are being superficial. lol i quote this way to often but it just is amazing and fits so many situations
“Be who you are
And say what you feel,
Because those who mind dont matter
and those who matter dont mind”
Tounge rings are erotic no doubt, and can’t be seen unless your mouth is open…but you have to do what makes you happy.
i didn’t do it for erotic pleasures i did it to express my self. i promised my self long ago that i would never care more about what people thought of me then what i thaought of my self so i got my toungue pirced.
I’m a male and got one placed a bit farther back than the average. Benefits of being placed farther back, it didn’t make contact with my teeth (preventing chipping), I could talk normally and it wouldn’t show, and it didn’t change my manner of speech.
I absolutely loved having it, it was my first piercing and I maintained it for about 7 years. I eventually removed it as I had changed a good bit since first getting it, but I’ve never regretted having it. During the time I had it, I felt it was a great reflection of me. It fit, I felt adventurous and expressive.
I would tell you to give it time unless (a) it makes daily contact with your teeth (risking chipping), or (b) it’s placed so far forward that it is always visible (potentially tainting others view of you and making job hunts a bit more difficult).
After the tongue piercing my next favorite piercing was my eyebrow, I did a simple curved bar with spiked endings (simple chrome finish, nothing fancy). I did my left eyebrow, not sure if this is supposed to signify anything or not though I guess it doesn’t really matter as I chose mine more for how it looked as to this day I always forget which side is supposed to mean what :)
The eyebrow ring I had in for 5 years or so when it got ripped out in roughhousing with friends (didn’t actually hurt that bad). It left a bit of scar (a silver slash in the brow where the hair never grew back in). Still, I’m rather fond of the scar and the associated memories, never regretted that either.
Long story short, so long as it doesn’t jeopardize your teeth or your employment prospects, I’d say hang in there! Though I gave ‘em up as I changed as a person, I’ve never once regretted my piercings.
I am not personally a fan of them and would not consider consider getting one for myself but If it makes YOU happy then it is worth a shot.
blah, i had mine done years ago as a teenager. theyre only damaging to your mouth/tongue/teeth of you dont get it done professionally, or if youre stupid with it.
you can get little clear plastic ones to put in if its needed for work, thats what i did as i wasnt allowed to have it in at work.
i ended up having mine done twice actually, that gets to be a bit of a mouthful and changes the way you speak, gets kinda annoying lol.
cant say ive seen many straight guys round here with pierced tongues, and the girls who get it done now are usually white trailor trash, but it was good fun back in the day.
well im deffently striaght. sorry no disrespect for gay people im just not that way.
lol i have heard that its a great benefit to GF’s of men who have them pierced. And for more fun they sell vibrating tongue rings…..i think that would be amazing!!
the vibrating ones are actually a pain. i saw some of them and they are huge and uncomfratable to the toungue and the bateries run down fast.
Don’t need the vibrating ones, the one I had was just a standard bar. I definitely got some positive reactions from my honey.
mind you, depends on the skills already present doesnt it. if you just jam your new metal into her vago, i doubt shell be impressed
they are gross
