Hello All I’m new here I typed Help.com and here I am.

I need loads of help but I guess I will break up my questions. First My Girlfriend Lives in Canada by herself in her parents rental property and pays them rent she’s away at school in a different province . So we went half on a 600 dollar plane ticket so I could visit no problem. So she told her parents ( Conservative Christians) and they seem to have a problem to say the least . They don’t approve of their adult daughter having a male house guest. A little Background She’s the oldest of 4 Im her first boyfriend been together for 2 ½ years. So what am I asking I want her parents to approve of me but im not sure if this will help my cause. Im not sure if there is anything that can sway their feelings of fear of pregnancy (we are abstaining until marriage) , example of immorality to younger siblings and fear of what others(extended family and Church members) will think of them. I miss her so much can’t afford to pay for a hotel so I am left with this mess of a question. So umm Heeeelp if you dare.

You should go, be with the girl you love and enjoy your time together life is way to short. If both you and your girlfriend are happy with the boundaries you’ve set then there really shouldn’t be a problem. Maybe get your girlfriend to explain to her parents that although you both respects their opinions that they should really trust you both and treat you like adults not pre-pubesent teens.

No money for a room in a hotel for even him. He should stay home.

From what the guy wrote sounds like his girlfriend is renting a property from her parents so I’m assuming they aren’t there. So go stay!!! No need for a hotel

Yes she is renting from them. The Biggest reason a hotel is not an option is the course of time. If I do go it will be for a month.

It does not matter. Parents will never approve unless they pick their children’s significant other on their own terms. I hope you and your girlfriend can ignore the trouble her parents give you. I congratulate you for abstaining. No reason to make things more complicated than they already are. Just give this girl everything you have to give and as time goes by, her parents will submiss. It will be a battle, but if she is ‘the one’ then it is worth fighting. Even if she is not ‘the one’ just go have some fun with the girl!
