I think that if you stop “communicating with him period” you’ll be hurting your daughter. Children need a father figure in their lives. But if he’s like legit bad, like I’m talking drugs, alcohol, prison, etc bad, then just have a talk with him, and try not answering telephone calls from him (even though it’ll be hard to resist, but I’m sure you can do it) and well, I think the rest of it depends on how “bad” he is…

He is he does not work does not help support her, he does drugs, drinks, I mean he has never physically hurt us, but he also hasn’t been around he is more interested in tryign to get back together wiht me than seeing how his daughter has been. I mean he never helps and she is 2 1/2 so I mean i want to end things now but it is hard every time he sends me a message I can not control myself from sneding him one back.

Until you change your number/email you are kidding yourself that you don’t want to communicate with him… and he knows it.

I have been exactly where you are now…. didn’t want anything to do with my ex… or that is what i kept telling myself… i didn’t change my number because deep down i still had feelings for my ex…. and i stupidly let him back into my life six months down the line…. we tore each other apart for a further five months…. and it ended again…i kept my number determined not to ever contact him again…. he started ringing me so this time i changed my number…. he doesn’t have my number and i have never checked to see if he has changed his since…. It’s the only way you can move on.

I have tried changing my number once but do nto ask me how he got it. I tried fileing a restrainign order but they said since he isnt comming in physical contact with me they can not do anythign. I am unemployed so I can not keep affording to change my number every time he finds it I mean I really do not know how he got it because I do nto talk to any of his family or friends.

You have to change it again… and give the number only to your very very close family… not even to friends who might know him… but if you are honest with yourself are you sure you didn’t let him have the number… you said you still loved him… while you feel like that you can do some silly things without even relising it at the time.

Don’t waste your money if there is 1% of you that thinks you might still want to be with him…. you have to be 100% sure and strong enough to carry it through.
