Taking a trip, hoping not to fall.

So there is this guy that I like, he drives a semi across the country hauling cattle. We have been talking on the phone and via facebook for about three weeks. We have not had a DTR chat (DTR-Defining The Relationship) so I don’t know if we are on our way to a relationship or just being good friends. He asked me if I wanted to be copilot on a trip (he’s never asked anyone else to), which would mean spending the night in the truck with him. I will not sleep with him (I’m waiting for a diamond ring on my left hand) but I don’t want to earn a bad reputation. I know the easy answer is not to go, but I hardly get to see him and it’s a trip I’d really like to take. Is this too big of a step for a relationship? How can I go with him without earning a bad reputation?

It might be a good step forward to pursuing your relatoinship. As long as he treats you nicely and you know he’s a safe person to be with.
