Side swept bangs?

I’ve got long brown hair that’s quite thick and, as a result, it’s quite hard to manage. I’ve got really fed up of having it the same way everyday so I’m going to go and have it cut at some point this week. I’ve worked out that I have a heart-shaped face and found out that long, layered styles with side swept bangs work best with that shape. I don’t want my hair to be short, so I’m thinking of going for that style. But I’m conscious of side-swept bangs making me look younger than I am - I’m nearly 17 and already look younger than I am lol.I know you can’t say whether side swept bangs would make ME look younger than I am without seeing a photo, but, normally do you think they make people look younger or older?
Baring in mind I’ll have choppy layers (that might make it look a bit more grown up)

Thanks,
Leylah ♥

I also have a heart shaped face. I have layered curly hair with side swept bangs- my hair’s about 3in. below my shoulders and it fits my facial shape well. Although longer, layered hair looks good with a heart shaped face, a longish layered bob (having the layers come longer toward the front is best) that comes right under the chin with side swept bangs looks really good too.

Depending on how your side swept bangs are cut (length, thickness) it’ll make you look younger. In my opinion the bangs that start on one side of your face and sweep all the way to the other (emo-ish) make people look younger. If the bangs start a little closer to the middle and are thinner they look more mature. I definately wouldnt go with straight across normal bangs. I’ve tried them and they made me look way younger and it just didn’t look right.

Good Luck :)
