anyone else’s bed shaking?
my bed shakes when i’m in deep relaxation or just randomly wakes me up in the night.it’s usually just one or two short sharp shakes like someone’s at the end of my bed. it’s not muscle spasms as i don’t move at all. my bed is hard to move at all, i can’t shake it myself.
does anyone else s bed do this and how can i stop/control it?

I wish my bed shook.
well mine shakes but only when im moving…
I had this happen to me before, there was no explanation for it. I was awakened by my bed shaking then I sat up and was well aware of what was happening and I sat and watched my bed shake by itself. I wasn’t having any muscle spasms either at that moment. I still am pretty clueless of what it was or could have been. This happened years ago. My sister told me the same thing happened to her in the same room *we used to share a room* I’m not sure, but I thought it was an earth quake or something but no one else in the house felt a shake on that day.
could be a lorry or train passing?
if you start to wee your pants
your head starts to spin round
think its time you got yourself a priest! ;)
Yeah my wife is a firm believer in ghosts I was going to suggest that. We have a room with all of our old pictures on the walls of dead relatives and the kids call it the creepy room. We have had two TV’s we tried to put in there and they would not work in that room but work everywhere else. Things fall off of furniture and you can feel breezes and everything in that room, but I have never met a ghost so I think it is a bunch of hooey…
it’s hard to see ghosts - your brain tends to filter out stuff you don’t believe in - it’s usually only ‘untouched’ minds, like kids’, or believers who get to see em…
it may seem unbelievable to some, but there’s even some truth to ghostbusters… remember the EMF (electromagnetic field) meter they used to track ghosts with? well, true story, available to the general public these days… http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tool…
anyways, i doubt if that’s what OP is dealing with - contrary to what hollywood likes to show, it takes a lot of energy in that dimension to make something move in ours. they can move little things around (or make things fall off of furniture…), but if you can’t shake your bed, chances are neither can they…
this is just a wild guess here, but what you described might be a transition from the astral plane (deep relaxation..?) to ours - the brain usually ‘feels’ it as shaking once or twice.
Have you checked to see if you’re living over a fault line? There have been reported cases of localized earthquakes.
Wish I could help, but I dont have a bed.
well if ur beds shaking then it must be the evil monster snoring under it. omg how are we suposed 2 know y ur bed is shakin lol
My bed shook on at least a dozen occasions, when I lived in a very old house in the past. No Earthquakes or trains around. My husband would never wake in time, I would kick him, and lay there scared to open my eyes.I have since divorced and moved, but I often wonder if it was the house, or it was a warning for just me.
Yeah I stay out of the creepy room for no special reason. It just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up like mother nature screaming DANGER! Okay I will always walk through the den to the kitchen instead of through the creepy room. No reason at all… can’t explain it and am not sure I want to.
its actually quite possible that you’re having a petit mal seizure, happens to me…… but then again i could be wrong
I noticed my bed vibrating fast when I am sleeping . I will wake up and try to feel if it was me doing it. This happened right after my mother died. This occurred for a year. Recently my brother in law died and it started again. Nobody seems to believe me. I try and avoid talking about this because I am afraid to see spirits.
This happen to me the other night, i can move my bed if i wanted to.
But it wasn’t me, and it wasn’t my heart beat neither it was just shaking as though someone was shaking it but no one was?
As soon as i woke sombody up it stopped..
i don’t understand!
Please if things like this happen you need to pray… and you need to pray to the LORD..and say in the NAME OF JESUS…it also helps to put on a christian CD while your asleep and put it on repeat… also you should get a Holy Bible
Hi, yes I do know what you are going through. For many years my mother would tell me it was the fever that made me feel as if my bed was shaking but at times I would not even be sick. I realised it was not the fever when my son who was 6 at the time woke me up whilst sleeping with me in my bed to tell me the bed was shaking. I simply just did the same thing as my mother did and told him to go back to sleep as it was the fever. (How could we both have felt it if it really was just the fever) It has calmed down now, but it used to happen quite often. I dont know how to help or how to make it stop. And I myself would love to know what it is that has been with me for almost my whole life and now seems to be affecting my children.
yeah my bed shakes randomly i cant explain it, its a bumk, but i swear, im getting sketched out, i have no clue, im 14 too, but it only happens once in a while?
No joke here, me my daught and girlfriend just moved into a 4 family apartment buidling. I don’t know if it matters that there is a cemetary at the end of the road, about a football field or more away. But anyway, my mom lives on the same street as the cemetary but alittle farther away and these things never happened. Anyway, ever since we moved into this 2nd floor apt, things have been happening I can not explain. My friend crashed here for a few nights when we were moving in, he and I soon strarted to talk about how wierd noises were going on at night. One night my friend was sleeping on my couch and told me he hear a noise, sounded like some one unlocking something, like the door. I was amazed because when I slep in the living room I heard the same noise, I just never told anyone because I didn’t want to scare my family. TYHe thing is is that it comes from the back of the apartment, where only my door is, no other tenants. Soon after this my friend said he heard a voice whisper into his ear late olne night, unfortunaltley he couldn’t really understand what it was saying. So one night, after my friend refuses to stay in the apt anymore and left, my girlfrined and i are sleeping in my bedroom doing unholly acts. Suddenly i heard something and asked my girlfriend if she heard the samething. She said yea and we both listened to see if it was our daughter, maybe she woke up. Then out of nowhere I swear someone was walking down my hall. My hall way is kind of narrow so when someone walks through it you know. distinct foot steps were coming down towards our bedroom and I was praying to god it was my daughter. I shrieked her name, hoping she would reply, but no answer as the footsteps soon came to a stop, right before they reached the entrance to our room. THis was it for me and I started talking to my gf about the things that were happening. She had similar expiriences and we started to become worried. Now no matter what room we are in, whatever furniture we are on, it begins to softly kind of wobble or shake. it just gently moves side to side or fron to back, with no help from anyone. The funny thing is that Both the couch and the chair each of us are on as I am wirting this were shaking only moments ago. That why I am here sharing these expiriences. Let me asure you, i am not making this up, really.
I live in a old 2nd floor apartment in the run down city of Lewiston Maine. Been here for about 2 years with my girlfriend and my son as well as a roommate. My bed shakes often. No trains around. I was actually looking for something because I am in bed with my laptop as it has been shaking off an on for awhile now. My girlfriend is with me, we both feel it. It is actually much like a small California earth quake. I use to live in Cali so I am use to it. My couch does the same when I am on it. When I moved in it happened so often I thought it was in my head so I pretended it wasn’t happening. Then one night while watching TV the antenna started shaking real bad and I could see this clear as day. I looked to my girlfriend and pointed it out and said “the couch is shaking isn’t it?” and she responded by saying yes and then added that the bed shakes all the time as well. Since then I know it’s not in my head. My roommate came home just a few minutes after and was also able to feel and see the shaking and vibrating of the TV antenna. What ever it is, it is not shy around house guests.
You guys still talking about this? I lay in my bed, and this has been occurring lately. At first I thought nothing of it whatsoever. Now, as I type, the bottom of my bed is vibrating. Nobody’s ever died in this house. I’m wide awake, too. I’ve been awake since six this morning (It’s 4am next day. Almost 24 hours) Because I CRAVE sleep, but to be honest, the bed shaking’s scaring me. Does anyone else feel like someone sits on their bed, too? I think it’s pretty creepy. I really wish it’d stop. If anyone figures out how to make it, PLEASE tell me. Cos after reading these stories, I don’t want to deal with this all of my life. I like sleep. I haven’t slept in forever, and I just want to. But I feel like I can’t. Help!
I felt my bed move as if someone was getting into to it. My wife was not in the room. Has this happened to
anyone else? If so, what was it?
This has happened to me on occasion. The times are few and far between. Happened in two separate brand new manufactured homes (no previous owners) on different properties. My wife has been awake for it on a few occasions. Last week when it happened, I woke up, noticed my wife was still sleeping, checked my heartbeat because I thought it was me and noticed it was beating slowly while the bed was on double time. I am a Christian (who keeps a Christian radio station on all night–for the person who mentioned using a CD, etc.) who simply took a deep breath, exhaled, and tried to ignore it, allowing myself to fall back to sleep while the bed rocked. I still don’t know what it is.
Oh yeah, and it also happened on different beds/mattresses, no trains going by, there is no basement in my house, the washer and dryer were off, and anything else you can probably think of. I really don’t know what to think.
I woke up one night and also found that my bed was shaking.. I laughed as I saw it shake violently to and fro (not side to side). It lasted for a while. It happened a few more times. weird
To all who have this ’shaking’ and ‘moving’ of things, please do not panic or worry about this activity. The world is full of unexplained energies in which scientist and such like can’t explain or even know they’re there. For example there are still millions of insects yet to be discovered - what I’m saying is, we’d be fools to say that its the dead or restless spirits etc. The wind is a type of energy, Ofcourse we know about, what it is and where its from. The moving of an object in your homes is again another type of energy, finally bringing me to my final point, its more than likely a natural phenomenon in which is yet to be fully discovered and understood.
Sleep tight. No ones out to get you. After all what the heck for?
hi the same thing is happening to me only that it happend in my brother room and when my boyfriend sleeps over. today i got really scared cuz i thought it was me going crazy but then i realized that my heart started to rise and the bed kept on moving at times harder then other times and my boyfriend doesnt notice cuz he sleeps well… im very confused i just know that i have to let him sleep alone in that room and move to my old room that feel much safer and chilled out for me to sleep.. i just hate leaving him but he doesnt really understand when i tell him i cant sleep in that room. last night we slept in my old room it as lovely but today we decided to sleep in that room because my lil cousin is sleeping over but i just coulnt take it, i left to sleep with my lil cousin. the shaking was to scary.
This has been happening to me since 2005. The bed will vibrate only when I sleep alone. I know this because I recently moved in with my girlfriend, and it stopped.
One night she had to go watch her parents house, and I went to bed, and just like when i lived by myself it vibrated, it would usually happen between 2-4 in the morning. At one point in time I had been awakened by the vibrating, at which point 10 seconds later, a pot (that was in the cabinet) had hit the floor about 6′ away from the cabinet itself. My dog of coarse got freaked out, and at this point in her life she never barked at anything and she barked, ran into the kitchen and then proceeded to check out the house. At another point in time I awoke to a figure standing at the feet of my bed (which could not have been possible due to the amount of boxes over there) my point is, I personally believe that it either is a random ghost, or a dead relative of mine. No sure, but it is weird, but I don’t think that you have anything to be afraid of.
i have had that happen to me .their is not an explanation for it. i ignore it at the time its happenning an put it in my memory bank as another unexplained accurance. maybe in the next century they will have alogical answer for it. there is a whole lot of energy swirling around our earth combined with human energy ,sun energy. earth axle energy ,so on an so forth.
so lets think of it as shaking the bed bugs off the bed. they draw blood,ha ha.
I have had the same experience in the past. When I was young around 20 or 21, my bed shook so hard one night it woke me up. Half asleep I told my husband to stop shaking the bed. He told me he wasn’t doing it and something in the sound of his voice told me to sit up and put my hands on his legs to see if he was indeed shaking the bed. So I did and he was not shaking the bed. Even he couldn’t explain what had just happened. The next day he asked the neighbors if they felt a tremor come through the night before, none had. The bed shook again on a few occasions and my 3 yr. old son became very frightened in his room at night and wouldn’t sleep alone. I had a friend from out of state come to visit for 3 weeks in the summer about a year after this started happening. She slept in my son’s bed and on the second night of her stay she came screaming and crying into my room telling me that the bed was shaking and woke her up.
We all had a very bad feeling when this happened, it’s like I knew this was something bad. More things ended up happening, sounds like a person running in the hallway and slapping their hands against the walls, tv coming on by itself in the middle of the night and always a feeling of dread. Eventually I had my house blessed and I was determined not to let this take over my life and I was wasn’t afraid anymore. Nothing else happened and don’t ask me how to explain my next statement but I believe nothing else happened because I would not allow it to happen anymore. I have had several more experience to happen in my life that I can’t explain or prove to anyone, but these experience weren’t (BAD) just a sense I get let’s me know when to fear something now! Sometimes I think a spirit just wants to be acknowledged to let you know that they are there and sometimes they are looking over you, trying to protect you. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you to not be afraid….believe with all of your might that you are stronger and in control of your own life. Tell it to leave and never look back at it….you can do this!
I grew up in Brooklyn ct , for years in my childhood home I had seen apportions of a white figure , my bed would shake on and of all night and sometimes I would hear voices on and off. Same with my two sisters. Even my animals would feel something. Later on in life every place I have lived including my house in Boston mass my bed still shakes. It’s a weird feeling and thought as to what and why has this been going on for so long. Recently on February my father passed away and my bed hasn’t shook since then , but 2 nights ago it was shaking more than I had ever experienced. Can anyone help me to figure out what is causing this and what I can do to figure it out. At this point it’s not fear any more it’s just curiosity as to what is going on. When I was 3 years old I was at a babysitters house and I was in bed I had heard a voice calling me , I went to the door and unlocked all 6 locks my babysitter had on her door ( she was very weary of being robbed ) I then walked out and seen a man on the side of a river bank. I then walked with him for about 45 minutes and it was like I didn’t even have to talk by word to him it was all by thought. Later about 45 minutes later a neighboring house was taking out the trash and seen me walking with a dark figure and they came out to check on me and the figure(man) was gone. They knew who my grandmother was an called her. She came and picked me up. The next day I was sitting playing with my toys when my grandmother wanted to show me a picture album. There was a man in a picture that looked exactly like the man I was walking with and I told my gram the best way I knew hot to tell her that was who I was with. She then told me and my mother it was my grandfather. Ever since that night I have been able to see and feel certain things. It’s weird but I never really understood any of it.
This is a bit old but this happened to me but i soon realized it was synchronized with my heart pumping all my blood around :)
