i’ve got a serious problem with my desktop…

it will no longer allow me to click on any of the icons on the desktop. whenever i left OR right click and drag the mouse holding the button, it turns into a circle with a cross through it. when i right click, it still brings up the properties and options and so on. i just can’t select anything from the actual desktop anymore. i have to go into explorer to do it.

is there any solution to this problem?

i almost wish i never posted this. one of my computer-smart friends was most likely playing a trick on me. i solved it myself. god i feel like such an idiot. XD sorry for wasting the time.
