i dont like my parents, but theyre perfectly good parents.

they repsect me and feed me and clothe me and dont yell at me too much and all that good stuff. they give me things that i want and dont hurt me. is it bad for me to hate being with them, even though theyre both nice people?

Sounds like pretty normal teenage angst. You’ll like them more once you move out and think “sh1t… this is it… I’ve gotta actually live now… dammn…..”.

I think you are the only one who can truly answer that question. However cliche, hate is in fact a very strong word… Do they dislike you? I prefer to hate only those who eagerly return the favor… But that’s only me.

I was the same. I wouldn’t even walk to the shop with my mum.

Now I live 200 miles away and miss her every day. I love my mum.

Well, you get to choose your friends, not your family, so it can be a tough situation.

Sometimes people just don’t get along well. I get along best when I see my family 2 days maximum, after that we usually argue or get on each others nerves.. even though it’s the holidays, LOL. Mainly it’s because we have different political/religious/social views. That’s just how things are. I love them, they love me, but we do much better now that we’re not living in the same house, LOL.

Try to keep the peace while you’re under their roof. After you graduate high school, you can move out and hopefully you will find your relationship improves :)

If teenagers and parents didn’t get on each others’ nerves, the teens would never move out. Disliking being with them is built-in biologically, part of being human.
