Depends if he intended to go to the same movie as you. If he did, then yes, a spectacular jerk. If not, then he seems quite considerate, not wanting to hurt your feelings by saying he’s not interested in you.

well, it is possible that he didnt want to tell you he was going with someone else in order to spare your feelings, but im pretty sure that only happens on the disney channel.
besides, if he cant be honest with you about a tiny thing like going to a movie, the chances of honesty when it comes to big things aint good.
if its just eye candy youre after, tape a hot guys pic to the ol’ vibrator.
youre far more deserving of someone who will treat you the way you ought to be treated.

Just because someone rejects you romantically doesn’t mean they’re a jerk. Wouldn’t he have been more of a jerk if he had simply blown you off instead of being mindful of your feelings and just letting you think he wasn’t interested in the movie.
