Any ideas for a different laptop that has really good quality and is not too expensive?

Macs are very expensive. A friend of mine has just spent a fortune on one for uni. It looks really nice and runs well, though.

Fujitsu Siemens and Acer are both good brands for laptops. Many of my friends and I use these brands and have never had a problem with them. If you look around you should be able to find one that isn’t too expensive.

i wanted a mac but if you go shopping late on the 24th they put the prices down for after crimbo i ended up getting a sony that was 900 for 430 coz i was out of season i saw macs being reduced to 450 or if you want try ebay or try dell ones

depends what you need it for. Generally i’d say macs are over-rated, i use both at work and would say the only thing i would use a Mac for out of choice is video and sound editing, everything else is better on PC. As for PC laptops dell are pretty good

you could always try for a refurbished mac, which you can buy off the apple website. theyre cheaper, and just as good as a brand spanking newbie.
