okay so does pasta have monosacchrides or polysacchrides same with twinkies, tofu and sprite. help pleasseee!!!! thanks =]

umm.. not really. Pasta mainly contains polysaccharides (amylose, amylopectin), which are scinded into monosaccharides by amylases (alpha amylase+pancreatic amylases). Tofu… it’s soy, right? so unless i’m wrong it should also be polysaccharides… twinkies, i’d say both (there should be polysaccharides in the dough and monosaccharides because of the syrups they use, as long as the list of ingredients i read is right) and as for sprite… well, sugar is a disaccharide, but i read somewhere it also contains fructose syrup (and fructose is a monosaccharide) - check the ingredients!
