It sucks being gay. - Help.com

It sucks being gay.

Being straight is so much easier, because I rarely meet any guys that I like that are actually gay and when they don’t want nothing to do with you or want to be your friend it is rare that someone else comes along. Unless your straight girls are all around and I find it allot easier. I’m so piss that I never meet gay people or anyone that I like that often, I hate my university since its not very gay and the community around it sucks too!

Maybe it would be easier if you were straight but your not, thewre’s nothing you can do about that.
In every town & city there are gay bars / clubs & other places where gay people hang out.
You can get a straight friend to go with you if you feel uncomfortable going alone.

Actually being gay rocks. You just need to get out of that hick town with a bunch of inbred fundamentalists. Move to the city boy! - Chicago, LA, San Francisco, New York, Miami. Even Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Atlanta if you must, or DC and Boston - all huge gay communities. Best thing I ever did was move to NYC. Small town Virginia boy here who got up and moved out.

Now live a fantastic life, been with my partner 16 years - longer than most of those sad straight marriages. I’m successful, well traveled and life is great. You can do it. Just make through your schooling.

Good luck!

I plan to move to LA when I graduate, and my friends never really like going out anywhere so I could go in my own I just prefer to have a friend, but I also just hate that I’m 21 and never had a boyfriend, been kiss, or even had sex.

There are lot’s of 21 yr old’s, straight or gay that have never had any of that, it just makes it more special when you do get it.
