As hard as it sounds, you have to go out and find someone else. Start thinking about someone new by going out and dating again. I know dating sucks, but it really is the only thing that will help. The whole “time will heal all” is crap. It’s like you said, you’ll be fine, but then the thoughts, memories, longing, for “her” comes back.

man i know how you feel…like someone commented go out and find another girl ur gonna love…..the whole “in time it will heal” is ********,…ive been thinking about the same girl for 3 painful years….it seriously changed my life…ive lost interest in all my hobbies, im always depressed, mad, bored to death, i was doing bad in college, and finally after 3 yrs im starting to feel better….not competly healed just feel better…i just found out shes getting married soon….oh well…thats hwo life is…its messed up…defintly find someone else…we do it differently in the islam religion…if i was followin islam this love pain **** wud have never happened in the first place….but ive learned to be patient during my suffering and u shud too…patience grasshopper…and dont beleive that ******** about writing it down and burning it away..lol…. and if u pray and find ur prayers not answered DONT let it weaken ur faith…the whole point of life is test and hardship..be strong i kno how u feel..i can guarantee u that u will forget her when u find someone else u love..do it quick or else ur gonna suffer like i am…and sometimes when i talk to differnt women i feel alot better….and remember there is someone out there who feels the same thing…so that shud also make u feel better.it does for me..im 20 by the way
