My son was convicted of first degree murder, and due

to not having a lot of finances since the death of my husband, I have not been able to get any help. I had one lawyer that ended up being a crook in which I paid him, then I have had public defenders from private law firms that have only been on board in name only. The lawyer that I need, unfortunately, I cant afford him. My son deserves better than this and I do have the faith that GOD will put an angel in my path on behalf of my son. I do know that there is someone out there that can help me. I will struggle until God sends someone. Chris will come home, healthy and ready to take care of his six year old beautiful daughter. Ironically, he has been great with other people children and I know he deserves the opportunity to be great with his child. Please see my heart. Thanks

God said that there would be trials in life. Truely, this is the very defination of what He means. Pretty real for an invisable God, huh? I’m sorry for your circumstance, but unfortunatlly all you can do is stand by. Your son has apparently killed someone and the judicial system will determine the extent of that crime. The system is a machine but it is driven by the human element so, it is not without understanding or compassion to SOME extent. Again, that depends upon the extent of the crime.
I would pray. As a mother, I could only imagine your pain. God is not without His mercey and care. I will also pray to Him to ease you.
All My Best

I thank you for offering prayer, but my faith is strong as I travel this road. Standing by to a corrupt system is not an option. I pray that some one with knowledge of my request will respond. I am not looking for pity, just justice for all people, not just the priviledged. Thanks, anyway

If he has been convicted, then obviously there was very strong evidence pointing to the conclusion that he did in fact commit murder.
if you feel his lawyer was corrupt, then go and see the public defenders office and ask to file for a mistrial.
you do not need to pay a lawyer, the state will have assigned him a public defender.

Call the American Law Association, they may be able to guide you for a reduced or bono rate. I suppose the idea is that new law grads wish to have a firm of their own or at least work at a more prestegious firm. In order to do this, they need a track record of some degree. New grads are eager and sharp - give it a try. . .
