I’m getting this error message every time I open Internet

Explorer on my Vista: An error has occured on the script of this page, yadayadyada and the last line says it’s found in:
file:///C:/Program%20Files/Microsoft%20Office/Office12/INTLBAND.HTM
This started when I installed “optional updates” for Microsoft yesterday.
any clues as to how to resolve this?
