i am 16 years old.

But my psychiatrist felt the need to put me on medication for bipolar disorder. Lately I have been having problems with my kidneys ever since i restarted the meds. When I researched the effects of the medication (lithium) linking to kidney problems I found a link to what’s happening to me and what can happen as a result to lithium. I’ve discussed this with my therapist but they refuse to help me and say nothing about slowing the meds. What do I do?

What problems were you experiencing with your bipolar disorder? If the side effects of the meds outweigh the theraputic effects you look out for yourself. I can’t tell you not to take your meds but…
