My name is Chantal and I am a sophmore in college who is struggling not only to graduate but to take care of my bills also.

I just started working at Toys R Us so i still dont have the money to pay my rent this month. My parents are not around due to their selfishness and inconsideration of my situation. I have even been to plasma donation centers just to try to come up with something, but every cent i get i have to dish out. Whether its for gas or food im in desperate help people. Im only 20 and i didnt expect my life to turn out this way. I pray and i pray and i really need some answers. SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE!!

Chantal, it is time for you to grow up and accept responsibility for yourself. If you do not generate enough money to pay your bills then you are living beyond your means. It is not up to the world to provide for you, and obviously your parents feel it is no longer up to them. Get out there and get busy. We know you can do it.

I think you’re putting the blame on your parents when at 20 you are already an adult who should be taking care of your own situation.

I’m guessing you probably told your parents to sod off and just couldn’t wait to be on your own and do as you please.

I think they’re just showing you tough love and you think they’re just doing it to punish you for telling them off.

Like Carol above says, grow up and if you cannot handle being on your own, it’s time to go back to your parents and ask for an apology and ask them if you can move back in with them. Of course, it will be their house, their rules and you cannot do as you please or come and go as you please. I’m betting your parents are waiting for you with open arms. They don’t believe in throwing good money after bad. And if they get you out of your bind right now, you are just going to create another one for yourself. They’re not selfish. They’re just realistic. All parents should be like your parents.

Grow up honey. It’s only your fault that you have found in the situation you are in now.

Ask for forgiveness from your parents and obey them.

While we at help.com are really sorry about your situation, I’m not sure anybody here is able to help you.

The only thing I can send you is lots of blessings and good wishes.

If you came here looking for money, sorry there is no money. As far as donations of any kind, I don’t think you’re going to find that here either. However, I might be wrong. I hope someone who can help you sees your plea. Sorry.

We at help.com are so broke we cannot pay attention.

Click these websites, you might find something there:

http://cyberbegging.com/

http://www.modestneeds.org/

http://www.hbaone.com/

And for a job if you want one:

http://jobs.com/

And who knows, with the law of averages if you go to enough websites, you’re bound to find a succker–erm–benefactor who will be willing to part with his money and give it to you.

You know what they say, a fool and his money soon parted ways.

Good luck to you!

How long have you been a registered user on this site? How many posts have you responded to? Spend some time here helping others and you would already know that this site attracts one post wonders like crazy. If you are attempting to instill guilt, it won’t work. We are weathered veterans of scammers. We have heard it all. Jump in and offer something to this site, then criticize.

You have had a tough start but you aren’t the only one…. why did you move into a sublease when you didn’t have any savings or means to keep yourself? If you’ve just started working how have you supported yourself for the last six months? At 20 you’re too old to be going cap in hand to mom or dad and it doesn’t sound like you’d get help from them anyway but maybe you have to consider moving in with a friend again…. share the bills.

The kind of help that you need takes money. What advice do you think we can give you? Carol and anonymous already gave you some advice.

Move in with a friend or family member who might be in a position to let you spoon off them for a couple of months until you can get on your feet.

This is a help site and if you can see how you are behaving you will benefit tremendously. How do I know this. I told you up above. We have all the faith in you that you can assume complete responsibility for yourself, and I meant it. As we grow up we do so completely dependent on our parents for our own support. Some have difficulty making the transition to adulthood. When they feel any pressure, instead of trusting that you can get yourself out of it, they look to the world fix it. You are better then that. I know it. Do you?

Does your college have some kind of hardship fund you could ask to borrow money from?

Other than that and what i have already suggested…. moving in with friends or family there’s not a lot of advice i can give you…. if there was some way of reducing your current outgoings i’m sure you will have thought of them…. walking instead of taking the bus/car…. selling the car if you have one….. holding a garage sale to get rid of your unwanted belongings….take another job.

I’m in the Uk…. and can i just add that it amazes me that you are paid to give blood/plasma…. just something that has always amazed me.

Try taking fewer classes or some on-line so you have more time to work. Go to your local command labor and get some temp work when you have extra time they will pay daily or weekly which ever you choose. Life suck sometimes but you have to do what you can to make it. I work 7 days a week to pay off medical bills for my kids, don’t like it but will do it. Hope this helps :-)
