question which you yourself must answer as your homework.

Approximate speed of an arrow??? Hmmm what is it like 350fps? Yanks use feet per second. That’s about 220 mph or the top speed of a Ferarri. Yeah that’s it!

…acceleration of gravity approximated to one significant figure. Or some other acceleration that I don’t know.

Acceleration would be meters per second per second. 32 fps per second is gravity.

Smooth dude. You just wanna do his homework for him. I hope you feel better now.

And 32ft/s/s is the same as 32ft/s^2

All right it could. 32 feet is really close to 10 meters. I never heard it said that way. It is the acceleration of objects falling on Earth.

Nope. m/s^2 = m/s per s. Same difference. And who in their right mind measures in feet per second? All physical equations I know of work only in the metric system - making things confusing by using two different systems doesn’t help much.

Indeed I do. I’ve helped someone who didn’t know the answer to a question they may never ever need to answer later in life. Hell, the whole school system is messed up anyway. http://punkerslut.com/articles/beareb… for more info.

Metric system?.. yeah I remember when America was supposed to switch to the metric system about 30 years ago. Still hasn’t happened.
