What is this pain in my ankle?

I have this pain in the right side of my right ankle. It’s in the back my by heel. It’s only on the right side. It hurts to go up and down stairs and it hurts when I touch it. The pain goes up about 10 inches of my leg. It’s not swollen or bruised. I told my parents and they just said to take some pain medicine and take a nap. It started hurting a couple of weeks ago, but it’s getting worse. I haven’t really done any thing where I could get hurt. It just started one day as I was walking to one of my classes. Does any one have and Idea what this is?

sounds like it could be a shin splint….

One cause is an overused muscle, either as an acute injury or delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). The muscle pain is caused by any activity that involves running, jumping, also sometimes even walking. Untreated shin splints can lead to a stress reaction mid-shaft in the tibia, which can eventually lead to a stress fracture. A stress fracture can be diagnosed by a bone scan or an MRI and takes much longer to heal than shin splints.

When I had shin splints, it hurt in the front of my leg and it was both legs. This sounds more like achilles tendonitis to me.

This happenedto my friend davo one time.
This one time, my friend davo - he died.
…cos he had leg pains.
