life help: HEY! - Help.com

HEY!

I was thinking… my grandparents are kinda pressuring me to be a doctor and my parents really don’t care (well they do care but they want what God has for me to do…) I think my grandparents have finally gotten inside my head and started to brainwash me, heheh, so i was thinking about anesthesiology, registered nurse or PA (although i don’t really like blood and guts all that much) what in the world of meds would be good pay and a lot of free time? I really think I want to be a farmer kinda thing not like a farmer farmer… but like a farmer that has a small farm and builds cob houses to start a cob farm all natural community. However, I’m pretty sure my grandparents would excommunicate me if I even brought it up to them. They both grew up in Communist Romania and they saw how only the doctors stayed cool - they see how doctors get the respect and the money… there will always be people who are sick and doctors will always have food on the table. But I want to do things like, truck driver, go far with my band, cob/farmer, family guy maybe even work on the set of tv shows, backstage kinda guy - A/V… and own a lot of land where people come to play paintball and drive atvs and etc. (I was thinking that could be done on my farms) :P what do you all think?

I do think that med school would be fun, however, I want to live a fun life… not always sitting in an office. What is your opinion

You can go to med/nursing/PA school and still drive trucks, play in a band, farm cobs (?) or work on tv sets. As you get older, you will appreciate the value of a stable, in-demand career, and the freedom it gives you. I say listen to your parents but pursue your hobbies and cobbing on the side once you have money. Anyway, you may not even get into med school, but give it your best shot anyway. If it doesn’t work out, then hit the cobs. Hard.

All your Dreams need MONEY. To do this and to have the Respect for your Family and yourself do become a Doctor of some kind .If you have the Marks in School go for it ..After you change your mind ,you can always do something else.
