How do I remove musty airborne bacteria smell from my room.

It was caused by painting the plaster walls in my room with old stale sour smelling paint. I’ve tried everything to remove it. I’ve repainted with BIN zinsser odor primer and mould shield paint. I’ve washed the walls in bleach and white vinegar. It’s in the air and it keeps on coming back. Has anyone had this problem. Please help.

I’m surprised you can smell anything other than the BIN. It’s pretty noxious.

Have you tried a dehumidifier to get all the moisture out of the air/walls/carpet/furniture/etc?

An ionizer would be another step. Restoration crews use that to deal with the smell of corpses from crime scenes.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve painted in BIN. The BIN smell is starting to wear off. I’m still confused about which course of action to take. I’ve been researching air purifiers, air cleaners, ozone generators sound good. I read that a lot of the affordable air cleaners are not that affective. Im thinking I may need to rent a one.
