What am I going to do!

Okay

Recently, I have missed school for a serious illness. I have missed two weeks. While I was out my teachers still expected me to catch up and keep updated with school. I am going to school tomorrow, and I still have SO much work to do! Our school policy is that you lose 50% of your grade on assignment if it is late regardless of an excused or unexcused absence.

The limit of school days you can miss is 6. I have missed 13 and my GPA is also being lowered for it. If I miss any more I will have to repeat the school year.

I have all the work done for tomorrow except for my last two classes. Should I skip? Should I go home? If I stay, I fail several large assignment grades! Either way my grades go down. I might even get suspended!

Keep in mind when you reply, that my school does not make any exceptions for absences. Even if my parents or doctors have spoken to them.

PLEASE HELP!

I agree, it is a tough situation, but i think that your best bet is to do the work and hand it in tomorrow. Can you get any friends to help you?

Do the work you are currently assigned. Always show up for school/class. Slowly get caught up on the assignments you’re behind on - and do well. It is better to take a lesser grade than a Zero.

It depends on if your GPA is crucial to your academic future. If you really need a good GPA then I would repeat the year (assuming that your new grades will replace your old ones). But if your GPA isn’t that important, or if your new grades wouldn’t replace your old ones for a repeated year, why the hell would you want to lose a whole year of your life?
