So I have posted my resume on many job board sites.

Do you think its safe to put it on Craigs list? I would exclude my exact address and only provide refs when asked there after. The only reason I question it is b/c the other sites require employers to pay a fee in order to view resumes. thoughts?

Hi there, have you considered trying to be a Nanny since I see you have a childcare background. I think it would not be as hard to find work for you, since most well off people are still in need of someone to take care of there kids they are not as affected by the economy. You can just go to an agency and they will search your a job for you that fits what you want to do.

yeah I am looking at that…. but I am in dire need of benefits as well being a nanny doesnt provide that. And as for the agency they are the ones that got me my last job and screwed me over in the end. They forgot to renew my contract with my then employer and re assigned another person to it and since it was a signed contract between the 2 biz’s, I dont have a job. I have applied for about 15-20 jobs today so hopefully somethings comes

Wow that is horrible! Is there another agency you could try? You could also advertise yourself, I don’t know if you were doing that already for this field. Sorry to hear about that,I know how hard it is to get them to give health care as part of the job. I tried in the past to get too with a employer as there Nanny and they did not do it either. But maybe if you got into a new agency and asked about it there might be a chance someone is willing to add you onto there company’s plan. I see Craigs list has some jobs for Nanny’s too, which you can do without the agency.

Yeah , I would take a little break. My husband just got a job after 9 months of searching and was on all the resume sites too, and funny enough he got the job on Craigs List in the end so maybe you should check it out :)

He replied to the ad and had tons of other guys there when he interviewed. He didn’t think he got, until we were in a Mexican food drive through when they called to tell him he got it :) I would be careful with it, just put as little as possible info if you do it.
