I’m a total loser. - Help.com

This post left anonymously

I’m a total loser.

Let’s put it that way.
I go to a small school. There are twenty two girls and nineteen boys.
Twenty girls in my school are sooo pretty. They are IT girls. They have shiny hair, awesome clothes, skinny bodies, big boobs, COOLNESS and ahmazing make up styles. I’m definetly jealous.
Than there is Jenna. We don’t get along at all; she’s mean. And she’s not an IT girl. Neither am I.
I don’t have a female role model in my life. My older sister died when i was nine and my mom’s not around anymore.
PLEASE ANYONE TEACH ME HOW TO BE AN IT GIRL. I can’t stand this anymore! I want to be girly and beautiful and confident with style and beautiful and I WANNA TURN HEADS!
Have you ever felt like a hopeless loser? With frizzy hair and crappy make-up?

-completly hopeless-

I just want to say that this does not make you a total loser.

But if you’re unhappy with your appearance, that can change. There are a million products to help with your frizzy hair and crappy makeup. What have you tried?

I’m not a girl, but I sort have an idea what you’re going through.

See if this helps you:

How to Be Girly

If you want to turn into a girly girl here are some tips that will help.

Follow these steps:

1. If you go to a school that wears uniforms but want to be girly you could wear lip-gloss or jewelery. Maybe even accsesories if your school will allow.

2. Always take a shower everyday. No one wants to get near a girl that’s smells bad. Make sure to scrub everywhere including your feet.

3. Always brush your teeth 3 times a day, once at morning, evening, and night. At least brush them twice a day. Everyone will talk about how pretty your teeth look!

4. Always brush your hair at least 3 times a day so your hair will be shiny and flow when you walk. Do not use eletronic hair machines like blow dryers and curling irons to often or they will dull your hair. Let your hair air-dry.

5. When you are in a public area and even at home make sure you use your manners. Try different hair-styles each day. Make sure you keep your hands clean or you could get sick. Express yourself and let out your true feelings. Don’t try to be someone your not. Respect your parents or your guardian. Be kind.

Some more tips:

* Take a purse with different things with you.

* Match your outfits

* Wash your face once a day at least, most of the time wash it 3 times a day.

* Brush your hair at lease twice a day.

* Don’t be shy always be confident and focused.

* If you can not wear lip-gloss try and ask your parents if you can wear chap-stick.

* Make as many friends as possible.

* Try to be nice to everyone.

A Warning:

* If this is your first time buying make-up, make sure you take caution with your skin and face as you might be allergic to some make-up. If so try hypo-allergenic make-up.

lol thanks littlenick

only DO NOT follow #4. (Always brush your hair at least 3 times a day so your hair will be shiny and flow when you walk. Do not use eletronic hair machines like blow dryers and curling irons to often or they will dull your hair. Let your hair air-dry.)

Don’t brush your hair, and use a hairdryer, flat iron, curling iron if you like. What’s better: Healthy hair that looks ugly or unhealthy hair that looks pretty?

I’ve totally felt like that before! I didn’t have a boyfriend until senior year in high school. I thought I was pretty, but no one else seemed to. ^_^
Then finally this guy asked me out…it’s our four year anniversary next week. ^_^
Sometimes it’s not you that’s the problem, it’s the guy. You are probably very pretty, but those guys want plastic Barbie Dolls. Find a guy who loved the way you look because of who you are.

I don’t think she’s worried about guys right now, just self-improvement.

And sometimes it is the girl…in high school it was me! I just was clueless about how to dress, what to do with my hair, makeup, etc.

it’s true. those IT girls are probably IT girls because first and foremost, they have confidence and like who they are. I’m sure you’re thinking, “It’s easy to be confident when you’re beautiful!” But beauty really does shine from within…SMILING improves your looks exponentially!

These are a couple of my favorite makeup brands’ sites. Of course you don’t have to buy this makeup (it can be pricey), but at least watch the videos and read the beauty lessons!

woah woah woah, what’s all this about trying to be an “it” girl?!
that’s crap, and anyone can see through that. something that really makes people turn heads is natural beauty and self confidence. You don’t have to wear candy lipgloss and pounds of makeup and fake looking hair to turn heads! I never match my clothes, including socks, and I just put some mousse in my hair after i shower every morning and some dark brown eyeshadow as eyeliner (tip: more natural looking!) so that I can look as close to who i really am as possible.
There’s a difference between self improvement by really enhancing your natural beauty and then there’s trying to fit in. Make sure you know that difference. Never try to fit in, it’s boring, lifeless and unsatisfying.. trust me :)

hey! I just wanted to say that I so get where youre comming from. Sometimes I felt like I was an Ugly Betty waiting for my makeover. Still, I really think you should remember that confidence is one of the main things of being an “IT girl”. Trust me on this one, coolness does not come from clothes. . .though cute clothes never hurt.

You can save some money, and go on a massive wardrobe-changing shoppin-spree. Buy cute clothes that ar not only fashionable (you can check out magazines for that area. Teen Voge is my fave), but also clothes fit youre body type and reflect your personality. Plus: changing youre hairstyle completly remakes ur look.

My advise to you is not to sweat it. High School almost never sucks. For anyone.
And again, confidence really is key. Hope it helps!!!!!!!!!!

you could look into getting your hair chemically straightened, it is quite harsh on your hair and will dry it out, but once its been done you can always buy relatively cheap moisture treatments that will help.
otherwise, invest in a really good straightener, and a really good heat protectant. that will stop your hair drying out so much when you straighten it.
use a GOOD conditioner, and that should help the frizz.
you should try going to a beautician in your area or maybe the next town over, and asking if they can help you out with the makeup stuff, even department store beauty products people usually are happy to help with tips on makeup.
or, buy some girly magazines like cosmo or something, they aaaaaaalways have makeup and hair tips in them.

i’m trying, but i really wanna be an IT GIRL like a victorias secret angel
(face and hair of course)

I feel like i have the basics but im just not smart with it and stuff. These girls at my school look like super models. Some ARE models.

I’m trying to make my hair grow really long and i think i got good face stuff (clinque) which helped A LOT(: (: (: (: I feel like im one step closer!

But i still feel the same way.

victoria’s secret models are WOMEN. you’re still a young girl. you’ll get there.

we’re proud that you’re trying, but don’t forget you have to makeover your insides too. you are beautiful, you just have to realize it.
